Game Overview
Dispatch combines tactical resource management at the core with a deeply personal, branching narrative. You get to play as Robert Robertson, a fallen superhero turned dispatcher, who is managing a team of ex-villains, helping in their rehabilitation in a gritty command center. The main gameplay is essentially a high-stakes juggling act that is happening on a dynamic city map filled with different emergencies and flickering. On one hand, every single mission is a gamble, as the wrong choice of sending a hero may lead to disastrous outcomes, causing the public to distrust you, or even making the villainy of that hero get out of control again. On the other hand, you have this strategic layer that is intimately connected with the relationship-driven story. Your things in the dialogue, mission debriefings, and resource allocation directly affect the loyalty of the team, the safety of the city, and your own secret quest to rebuild your mech-suit for a final, personal vendetta, among other things.
