Game Overview
Dying Light: The Beast is a violent, asymmetrical PvP mode that violently overturns the central core power dynamics of the main series, thereby not letting the players play as resourceful human survivors but instead as the ultimate nocturnal predators- the mutated Night Hunter, which is designed for the utmost, over-the-top, high-stakes killing. Such PvP turns the already-known skyline of Harran into a terrifying, shadow, and concrete jungle gym, where you chase a group of human rivals with your wild grace, employing your explosive tendril leaps to get on top of buildings and leap across ravines that are already dizzying, in one bound.
The gameplay is a tense, hands-on combination of aggression and evasion: You strategically spit UV-blocking goo to form little areas of darkness, carry out energizing ground slams to confuse the prey around you, and finally, release a forceful instant-kill pounce… all the time taking care of your extreme exposure that the survivors’ UV flare and coordinated attacks bring to you. The turning point of the game is on the archaic goal of: tearing down their nests before they lower your health, making the fight less of a battle and more of a raw-form psychological terror game, tightly controlled, where you are the unseen killer in the dark and the city is all yours to hunt.
