Game Overview
Killing Floor 3 amps up the gory, high-octane chaos of its predecessor and tops that off with even more brutal and strategic cooperative FPS action. The game, which takes place in a dystopian Europe infested with nightmarish Zeds, immerses players into never-ending waves of hyper-aggressive mutants. To survive, the players are forced to use precision, teamwork, and adaptive loadouts. The shooting is very satisfying and impactful. A new and improved dismemberment system is introduced, which literally makes every shotgun blast, melee swing, or explosive hit to felt as very devastating and satisfying at the same time. The revised Perk system allows players to become even more specialised, as they can now create their playstyle by combining different abilities, passive boosts, and using the various skill trees.
As a result of new team-based mechanics, such as shared ammo pools and combo takedowns, players are forced to work very closely together to achieve their goal, which is to eliminate the enemies most efficiently. Moreover, the upgraded Zed AI makes the enemies so smart that they can dislodge, attack in groups, and learn from your actions at the same time.
The game introduces dynamic mission objectives, which means that the battle is changing in the middle of the wave, and it is also a fully destructible environment that will make any choke point a place of a desperate last stand. To sum up, with new and disgusting enemy variants, a full arsenal of weapons that (even if the guns are hybrid melee-gun tools), and a pulse-pounding real-time Zed-time modifier system.
