Game Overview
Meat Fest is a hyper-competitive game of cooking where contestants become grease-stained rival chefs who are trying to produce the most luxurious meat dishes in a carnival atmosphere of raucous, loud, and colorful arenas. The game is based on a dystopian food-truck dystopia where ‘more is more,’ and at the heart of the mechanics lies a hectic, real-time race for ingredients. You go from grabbing whole smoked hogs off delivery drones that are flying by, to wrestling other chefs for the last truffle-stuffed sausage, to finally rushing back to your grill to make highly delicious recipes like the ‘Quadruple-Bypass Burger’ or ‘Dragon-Spiced Mega Ribs.’ Each match is a chaotic mixture of strategy and slapstick: you can sabotage your opponents by chucking chili bombs into their pans, bribing health inspectors with secret underground meat currency, or even unleashing the ‘Carnivore Rage’ mode for a short time, which gives you super-fast chopping.
The game art style is grotesquely and charmingly with the characters as the sweat-drenched chefs and meat so juicy that it practically drips off the screen that fits very well with the soundtrack of sizzling fats and heavy-metal BBQ anthems. Meat Fest is an insanely unhinged celebration of culinary excess, whether you play solo to conquer the ‘Meat Legends’ tournament or in local multiplayer where friendships go to die over stolen brisket.
