A garage attendant in a massive, procedurally-generated, multi-level parking garage, where spatial intelligence, timing, and vehicle dynamics combine for a tense precision-driving challenge, is the role of the player in Parking Garage Simulator. The central theme is “congestion clearance” – you have to go to a specific set of cars parked in random locations, then go to the narrow ramps, blind corners, and angry NPC car drivers who honk and block your way if you take longer than 90 seconds to get to the vehicle you need to retrieve. There’s a distinctive way of operating each type of vehicle: a manual transmission sports car stalls when you let up on the clutch too soon on a hill, a delivery van has enormous blind spots that allow carts or pedestrians to sneak up on you when you’re shopping, and a huge SUV needs to be driven in a different style than a smaller car – there’s only so much 3-point turn you can do in a parking lot.

The ‘scratch penalty’ system records every bump, scrape, or mirror hit against concrete pillars, and if the number of damages exceeds, your supervisor will conduct a ‘damage audit’, meaning you will have to replay the shift without getting paid, or else you will lose the garage’s reputation!

The five garage areas are: the Tight Squeeze Basement with low-hanging pipes, the Spiral Ramp Tower, where you’re constantly in a centrifugal force, the Valet VIP Section, which has luxury cars that sound an alarm on any movement, the Abandoned Sub-Level with a flicking light and broken down barriers, and the Rooftop Express, where you’re driven by gusting winds that change your steering mid-park. The “tip economy” — cars returned promptly receive cash bonuses that can be applied to other features, such as magnetic spotter poles, backup cameras, upgraded mirrors, or more; cars in pristine condition get “regular customer” status, which leads to quicker retrieval requests, a higher base rate, etc.

In multiplayer “shift race,” two garages are played at the same time, and each win results in a random obstacle appearing in the opposing lane (a falling cone, a car that suddenly starts up, a spilled oil slick). Every beep on the reverse is a compromise between millimeters and the impatient commuters: No permadeath, but basic vehicle handling experience.
