Game Overview
Forza Horizon 1 is an open-world arcade-style racing game that combines realistic driving physics with the freedom of exploring a large festival-themed environment. In the game, players race competitors who are also part of the organizers of a large festival named the Horizon Festival, which will feature several racing-related events in which they can participate.
With the game, you can drive anywhere freely in Colorado; you will find different highways and roads, discover some shortcuts, and also explore hidden spots as you race against your opponents on various race circuits.
Getting a diverse car gallery and making each vehicle unique goes a long way in the game. You can spend a lot of money on buying cars and even get a lot of cars for free by completing objectives. Besides upgrading your engine and performance, you can change the chassis handling and also customize car features like paint job, etc.
Other than regular races, there are drift and speed challenge circuits, speed traps, etc., which will add more interesting events to the overall experience of the game. As you complete the events, you will gain experience and popularity points, besides unlocking new events and faster, more powerful cars, which gives you the freedom of upgrading and exploring faster.
Generally, Forza Horizon's gameplay merges together a variety of elements, from the freedom of open-world exploration (with the possibility for racing in virtually any part of Colorado) to competitive racing, vehicle customization, and finally festival-themed progression features, allowing your creativity to run wild as you race to beat others and explore the environment at your own pace.
